Time to post something as I promised and TOTTALLY haven't forgot about it mhmhm no siiir.

I thought what to post about as a second entry but I am dying currently because sharkweek so I deciced to do the lazy option and make this a place holder masterlist of all the SPN conspiracy theories and fandom dramas since episode 18 (yes THAT one).

this is for my own ref because I will be one day having drunk rants with friends about it and i need to be prepared.

*taps mic* I think it's time to go back to basics.

Hi random people who have decided to stumble across this silly journal (journal? should I say journal? technically it is but it isn't huh), hope it won't be too cringe for you (or me).

The fandom landscape is shifting once again and with the recent war in Ukraine, people have been goinng oh hey livejournal.

For any who are too young to remember or just joined fandoming late: livejournal is like one of the og social blogging sites that for a very very long time dominated fandom spaces before tumblr and twitter and the clock app took over and made fandom unbearable.

I mean livejournal wasn't perfect by any means tbh, but there was really not that much drama being blown up into everyone who had an account. you could stay in your little lane forever and never even hear a peep about fanfic plagiarisms drama or whatnot untill someone made a 2h long youtube video about it (oh god yeah i forgot youtube).

But long story short: livejournal was bought by a Russian company ages ago and now all its servers are stored there.

And now we know they are gearing up to close Russian's off global interent they will probably close lj behind a cyber iron curtain. if not nuke it completely.

I am still in the process of archivising stuff for posterity (GOD SO MANY FICS, SO MANY COMMENY THREADS RIP THEM). Initially i wanted to make a DW mirror but lj blocks the IP at random and I am tired of sitting and clicking and re clicking every few seconds, but I figured something out.

I wasn't reallt super active with posting on LJ and i was more of a lurker. Not really a blogger.

But since tumblr is kinda dead, twitter is getting more and more unbearable and i am not getting a tiktok, I suddently went, well what if i used my unsued till now DW?

Huh.

So here I am writing this very long winded post that no one will read.

It's fine. Sometimes you can just do things for your own amusement. it doesn't always have to be for the audience.

Anyway.

Purpose.

I do not want to write about my daily life cause it's pretty boring so instdead I will write about my fandom life (which is conicidentally only slightly less boring).

I wanna document what i read, watch, write, make or lsten to. I initially thought about an update every 2 weeks or once a month but honestly maybe it's better to just not set any expectations for myself and just post whenever i feel like it haha.

So this is the purpose. Fandom diary. How oldschool.

Short intro before I go do boring normie things because these also exist. (unfortunately)

My name is Iza, but I go by nicknames too (darki or szczepter). I'm from Poland and a fandom old. I remeber even pre lj times tho I was a wee bab then. ~~Maybe I'll write a post about my fandom journey at one point why not.~~
